Everything Old is New Again

Join us as we hear old classics transformed into new favorites. The Symphonic Metamorphosis by Paul Hindemith may at times sound familiar and it should, as this work has taken Carl von Weber’s themes and made them new again.

We end our season with something that was new for composer Antonin Dvorak and all who heard it. Composed while at the National Conservatory of Music of America, the Parker Symphony Orchestra will play one of the most famous and recognizable symphonies, Symphony No. 9, better known as the New World Symphony.
